This 1970's film by the U.S. Navy covers the history and
development of the U.S. aircraft carriers from the first
experimental takeoff in 1910, their extensive use in World War
II, and the then modern USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67). Veteran
naval aviators, including from World War II, discuss their
experiences and what has become a key factor in projecting
offensive and defensive capabilities of the United States.
