U.S. Marines with
Regimental Surveillance and Target Acquisition Company
(RSTAC) participated in a Sniper Field Training Exercise
(FEX) at
Fort Irwin, California. The Sniper FEX involves all aspects
involved with a sniper taking the shot including planning
and preparation for precision shots.
RSTAC is an experimental
company designed to build proficiency in scout sniper
operations for service level exercises culminating in live
fire full-mission profiles, reporting surveillance and
reconnaissance control center operations and high-angle
precision fires.
