February 2017 - Marines with the
15th Marine Expeditionary Unit Battalion Landing Team
conduct a raid aboard Camp Pendleton, a part of MEU-EX, the
first large-scale exercise the MEU conducts as a composite
force. Through out the raid Marines were also expected to
treat and evacuate their wounded as well as set up a
breaching charges to assault and clear buildings both day
and night.
The training, critiqued by the
Expeditionary Operations Training Group, is preparation for
a full-scale amphibious assault where Marines move from ship
to shore and into urban terrain or an austere environment to
a hostile target.
