After pushing through the last nine
miles of the Crucible, the 54-hour culminating event of
Marine Corps recruit training at Parris Island, SC ... Mike
Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, arrived at the Iwo
Jima flag raising statue April 2, 2016. Upon completion of
the Crucible's last hike, each recruit finally earned the
title Marine ... the defining moment of the previous 12
weeks of training. Mike Company graduated during Parris
Island's centennial celebration.
