Honor Flag Day
Marines honor Flag Day with Morning Colors Ceremony aboard
Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., June 19, 2013.
During the ceremony, Marines recited the Pledge of
Allegiance and learned the history of five different
variations the Flag has gone through in history. Also,
Marines from the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing reenacted the
American flag raising on Iwo Jima during World War II. The
ceremony included the Marines welcoming retired Sgt. Maj.
Mike "Iron Mike" Mervosh.
