December 2012 - The journey to becoming a Marine starts in
boot camp. Marines learn the basic skills sets and code of
conduct that will set them apart from every other service.
But when it comes to combat, Marines learn their skills in
Marine Combat training. Marines will use these skills to
keep them and their brethren to their left and right safe
when the proverbial shit hits the fan. The combat
instructors (like Cpl. Corey Wright) at the School of
Infantry use all the skills and experience they've gathered
through their years in the Corps to fine-tune the basics the
Marines learned in boot camp. Their piece of the Corps? To
teach Marines how to survive in combat.
