January 2011 --
Enlistment begins with recruit training, and is generally a four-year commitment. Most Marines serve by enlisting. Men and women between the ages of 17 and 29 who are working toward, or have earned, a high school diploma may qualify to enlist.
A Marine Corps Recruiter can explain in further detail the eligibility
requirements for enlistment. You are under no obligation when speaking
to a Marine Corps Recruiter. He or she knows the importance of this
decision, and will help you decide if you have what it takes to become a
Marine.
