December
2014 brought the war in Afghanistan to a formal close and
tens of thousands of National Guard troops have played a
vital role in supporting this mission. With the help of our
Colleagues at U.S. Air Forces Central Command Public
Affairs, we embed you as the viewer to experience what its
like to be an Air National Guard fighter pilot in combat.
From defending troops on the ground with
close air support, to the teamwork involved in keeping the well
oiled machine of a fighter squadron maintained, this is the story of
the 100th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron of the Alabama Air National
Guard.
The 100th FS is a unit of the 187th Fighter Wing located at Montgomery Air
National Guard Base, Alabama. The 100th FS traces it's
legacy to one of the Tuskegee Airman Squadrons of WWII.
