U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Ed Drew, an HH-60 PAVE Hawk
helicopter gunner, creates modern art in a modern war using
not-so-modern techniques. He does it by using an 18th
century process known as... tintype, which is a photograph
made by creating a direct positive on a sheet of iron metal
that is blackened by painting, lacquering or enamelling and
is used as a support for a collodion photographic emulsion.
