Infantry Regiment, Iron Rangers 1st Armored Brigade Combat
Team, 1st Infantry Division, conduct a Best Squad
Competition August 14, 2015 at Fort Riley, Kansas. During a
physical training session, the squads conducted a 4-mile
water jug carry with litters while executing different tasks
at multiple stations along the route. Each squad was tested
on its ability to evaluate a casualty, conduct a 9-line
MEDEVAC request, conduct land navigation, assemble small
arms and crew-served weapons, and collectively execute 100
pull-ups.
The purpose of the event was to test physical fitness, build
unit cohesion and esprit de corps.
