The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier has been guarded around
the clock since July 2, 1937. The 3d U.S. Infantry
Regiment (The Old Guard) has guarded the tomb
continuously since 1948. Here is a solemn, inspiring
look at a Sentinel proudly performing his honored,
dignified walk guarding the tomb and the the transfer of
duty to a fellow Sentinel on August 26, 2011.
