Marines Field Testing New Equipment

July 12, 2014 - Marines take advantage of RIMPAC 2014 at Kahuku Training Area, Hawaii by getting their hands on experimental gear designed to make their job a little easier and help keep them alive with comments from Lance Cpl. Steven Barringer, team leader, Ruel Faruque, engineer, TORC Robotics, and PO3 (HM3) Justin Pierce, hospital corpsman.

Note... Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) Exercise 2014. Twenty-two nations, 49 ships, six submarines, more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel participated in RIMPAC which is a multinational maritime exercise held biannually in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. RIMPAC 2014 is the 24th exercise in the series that began in 1971.
