March 5, 2016 - A unique look at U.S.
and other NATO partner troops conducting an exercises
involving taking an allied town from enemy forces as
part of Cold Response 16 in Norway and with local
Norwegians having a close-up look at the training
engagement.
Cold Response 16 is a Norwegian-led exercise
to rehearse high-intensity operations in winter
conditions. The exercise involves more than 16,000
troops from 13 countries ... over 3,000 U.S. service
members; approximately 6,500 members of the Norwegian
Armed Forces; and nearly 4,000 troops from 11 allied and
partner nations including Great Britain, Germany, the
Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, Denmark, Canada, Belgium,
France, Latvia,; and approximately 300 NATO personnel.
The training underscores NATO's ability to defend
against any threat in any environment.
