remembered their sacrifice ... including at American
military cemeteries in other countries ... as was done
Memorial Day 2014 on May 25th at the Brookwood American
Cemetery and Memorial in England, which is the only WWI
American Military Cemetery in the British Isles. It is
located approximately 28 miles (45 km) southwest of
London and contains the graves of 468 American war dead,
including the graves of 41 unknown servicemen, from
World War I.
