The Achilles Freedom Team of fourteen disabled veterans from around the country
took part in the 34th annual Bank of America Chicago Marathon on October 9, 2011 along with 45,0000 other participants . . . The Freedom Team, which is made up of
profoundly disabled veterans, is supported in part by a grant from the DAV's
Charitable Service Trust.
