Air Station Kodiak HC-130 Hercules airplane crewmembers
prepare to deploy probes above the Arctic Circle an
Arctic Domain Awareness flight on June 20, 2013. These
probes measure sea temperature, salinity, density and
transmit coordinates that help researchers gain a better
understanding of Arctic climate conditions during the
summer season.
