The National Defense University's tribute to the U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM)
for being recognized with its 2012 American Patriot Award.
SOCOM's mission is to defend the United States and its
interests against terrorist networks and other national
threats, which is done by dedicated, valiant special
operation forces with members from all military services.
