U.S. Marine Corps Major Reginald Myers was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor on October 29, 1951 for
his actions at the Chosin Reservoir, North Korea in November of 1950.
After being ordered to take charge of a group of men from both the Army
and the Marine Corps, Reginald Myers and his men were instructed to assault
a key enemy position.
Leading approximately 250 men, many of whom came
from non-combatant positions, he executed an assault that would result in
over 1,000 enemy casualties.
