A
moving remembrance of fallen Marine Sgt. Joshua R. Ashley, starting with scenes
from his memorial service at Regional Command Southwest chapel in Afghanistan on
August 17, 2012 followed by the memorial ceremony
at Camp Lejune on September 12, 2012 that occurred three days
after Ashley's unit returned from Afghanistan.
There are also heartfelt words
expressed by several Marines deployed with Sgt. Ashley, who was killed in action
on July 19, 2012 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province,
Afghanistan. Sgt. Joshua Ashley was a dog handler with Military Working Dogs
Platoon, 1st Law Enforcement Battalion (Forward), I Marine Expeditionary Force
Headquarters Group (Forward).
