U.S. Air Force logoUSAF SSGT Chester McBride Dignified Transfer

The dignified transfer of U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Chester J. McBride (30) of Statesboro, GA on December 23, 2015 at New Castle Air National Guard Base, New Castle, Delaware. McBride was one of six airmen killed on December 21, 2015 in a suicide bombing near Afghanistan's Bagram Air Base, about 25 miles north of Kabul. He was assigned to the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, Detachment 405, Maxwell Air Force Base, AL.

The five other fallen airmen are Staff Sgt. Louis Michael Bonacasa (31) from Long Island, N.Y.; Staff Sgt. Michael A Cinco (28) from Mercedes, Texas; Technical Sgt. Joseph G. Lemm (45) veteran of the New York Police Department; Staff Sgt. Peter W. Taub (30) from Philadelphia; and Maj. Adrianna M. Vorderbruggen (36) from Plymouth, MN.
