On a hot sunny, quiet Friday morning over 100 Marines gathered to
honor Cpl. Alex Martinez, a fallen comrade during a memorial
ceremony in the Afghanistan sunlight, April 13, 2012. He was killed
in action, April 5 while conducting combat operations in Now Zad
District.
Soundbites include Lt. Col. Jason Perry, commanding
officer of 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, Lt. Col. Andrew
Niebel, commanding officer of 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, Navy
