June 7, 2014 - U.S. Army SPC Benjamin Soler tours the USS Iowa ... the most powerful U.S.
battleship in World War II and among the greatest warships
of all times. The USS Iowa, commissioned in
1943, also served during the Korean War and Cold War ... earning eleven battle
stars. It was even retrofitted to accommodate President Franklin Roosevelt's
official uses including overseas trips.
This iconic battleship
represents American spirit ... that our greatest generation valiantly showed in
battle and on the home front. The USS Iowa Museum is located at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro, California.
