The Presidential Medal of Freedom is the
United States of America's highest civilian honor, presented to
individuals who have made especially meritorious contributions
to the security or national interests of the United States, to
world peace, or to cultural or other significant public or
private endeavors.
Individuals, including non-US
citizen, who received the highest civilian award from 2002 to
present are listed by year with their citations and/or comments by
the President of the United States of America.
Listing of the Presidential Medal of Freedom
