Honoring the Fallen
February 21, 2005
USA Patriotism! (https://www.usapatriotism.org)
the would like to announce its new feature that honors the brave fallen
of the USA armed forces at
https://www.usapatriotism.org/heroes/fallen/directory.htm.
David Bancroft, USA Patriotism! owner and founder, states...
"I have thought about honoring all the brave troops who have paid the
ultimate sacrifice for our great nation, since I founded USA Patriotism!
However, I wanted more than just a list names so that visitors could
have a more personal feeling for each fallen hero. Nor was anyone going
to be listed without the permission of his or her family, who could not
be contacted directly due to time constraints and more so out of respect
for the loss of their loved one . . . whether recent or a distant
memory.
Then a few weeks ago I was made aware of a video tribute of USMC
Corporal Robert P. Warns II, who was killed in action while serving in
Iraq. This video of his funeral moved me so much and resurfaced all the
emotions I experienced when my youngest son was serving in Iraq with the
Marines . . . that I immediately ascertained how to reach Corporal
Warns' parents to express my sincere condolences of their loss and pride
for their son's service . . . which then led to me asking them about
listing their son as the first one on the new fallen heroes tribute
section at USA Patriotism!
And that is how the Fallen Heroes tribute section became reality with
loved ones giving permission to do so. Hopefully, others will do the
same as they become aware of it . . . as there will always be an open
invitation for parents, wives, husbands, and/or children to list their
fallen hero at USA Patriotism! with a color photo along with a brief
description about their service and how he / she died while serving the
USA and fellow citizens proudly.
The new fallen heroes section also compliments what USA Patriotism! is
all about... Showcasing a fervent love and pride of the United States of
America with poems, sites, tributes, articles, stories, quotes,
thoughts, music, artwork, and more . . . Visitors will share the
experience of honoring and remembering of our troops, veterans, Medal of
Honor recipients, Presidents, other great Americans, and national
tragedies. And there are hundreds of USA / patriotic themed gifts listed
in 20 categories including the armed services, police, and
firefighters." |
