It is just fatigue
... and the
weariness,
that defeats
the best in us.
It is a sad place,
... that tired place,
where we think it would be best
to die.
War defeats all men who venture
forth.
War destroys!
... Only the whispers
of loving Angels,
haunted our nights,
and led us home.
