Their Eyes |

Midnight
is a bad place for memories.
soft silence,
surrounded by faces,
lost
to names.
... time that has forever gone
to moments
far away
when I remember the eyes
staring at me.
... in the way it was
so long ago.
Eyes that asked so many questions.
... and all the answers were lost to me.
Time turning upside down!
... ever falling
from the tired
eyes
of soldiers.
Danger!
The wilderness of war
so long ago. |
