The Day The World Stop Turning | |
|
One quiet dull September morning
They struck the towers without warning
Work and school were put on hold
As the terror began to unfold
The world looked on in disbelief
As our hearts and minds were filled with grief
And soon we all began to choke
That put the ones we love in danger
Caused by the madness of a stranger
Then soon the towers started falling
Now our emotions all snowballing
Toward a point of hate and anger
Through which we could not see the danger
Rage rose within us like a tide
Let loose the dogs of war we cried
For we did not start the fight
But soon our cause for war was lost
And we all began to see the cost
As more and more soldiers were killed
American blood the war had spilled
So now we once again can see
The cost of freedom isn't free
And all this chaos and illusion
Began on a day of great confusion
When we witnessed our country burning
