Frozen Time and Long Ago |
|
|
I wear no watch
nor dog tags tightly taped
anymore!
No 'saddle ups' at 0400
no noisy rides in 'Slicks'
or tall grass hiding
fearful time... QUICK time!.
hot rain of War so frightful... yet
so sublime!
The clouds building silver into gray
framed so golden bright!
Preston calls it a 'Tin Sky'.
Preston's got it right.
... and a daughter's voice counts cadence
on the 'shadows of his mind'.
Kim has seen the 'Thousand Yard'
staring from his eyes.
... and Tony calls from around the World;
a brother from the fight;
and EE, Randy, Outlaw,
and all the others sending heartfelt love;
The friendship shared
at BPJ!
Right on my friends and Brothers!
Right on! |
