Blood on the Street | |
In this world of confusion the blood flows free on the streets while this hour of transition crashes down at our feet And in the darkness around us you can hear all the screams of people now dying caught up in a terror of dreams For the sadness of loved ones that will never come home there are memories and moments bathed in tears when alone While the sounds of darkness explode over the night sky there are prayers of soldiers and out to God they do cry Keep us safe through another night of uncertainty and give safe passage for it's home where we long to be But freedom calls out to me there is a war . . . a war to be won and the price of this all could be someone's daughter or son There is blood on the street on the people everyone that you meet the children are dying so much carnage some without feet And some how there is hope for the one's that you can save a brighter tomorrow one without war maybe someday. |
