Morning fell
screaming
no illusions
saw
smoke.
black
and dust become death
rising.
from bodies crushed
fallen
into rubble.
The crashing sound of dreams.
Ashen prayers
trigger of hatred
that flew in anger
turned
was pulled into two towers
twin smoke
bombed
... blacken'd
ashen'd
Mortar mashed
tomorrow's falling.
No dream
this evil awakening.
We bleed upon the altar
of promised Liberty
bleed
and bleed again.
cry as slaves in despair
... cry stories
...... cry poems
... cry freedoms prayer
from long ago!
.and we remember war.
a red fierce wind
at dawn.
Red Dawn of death
become
today. |
