Veterans Day, Once More |

Veterans Day nears,
to be observed with accolades,
tears,
and emails filled with patriotic themes.
I
received a video today, and it seems,
as is all too
common, I didn't see
a single soul who looked like me.
The note said it was okay if it made me cry;
I watched it
all with a sigh.
From beginning to end
it continued
that sad, sad trend;
it was another, in a long line of
others,
that ignored me, my father, and all my brothers.
