There you stood so dignified, with such class and pride.
It seemed you had a wall around you, that no one could break through.
Your eyes told a story, freedom is your passion not glory.
Without saying a word, your message was heard.
By the expression on your face, you were still in another place.
By the look in your eyes I could tell, you have just been through hell.
Though you've weathered a storm, You wore a perfect uniform.
What you suffered no one will ever know, because you will never let it show.
Looking at this soldier all I see, is a man defending the land of the free.
My respect for him is immense, to the world he makes all the difference. |
