The Moon Reflecting Brightly |
|
|
I step ... beyond
midnight...
... alone beneath the bright lit moon
and... the scars reflecting the history of my arms,
my soul... heart beating... and
journeying backward
... and forward,
and toward those lost, ... my brothers!
... they are speaking to my heart.
... never forgotten those!... My Brothers
... long ago!
... those young souls... lost and whispering to me!
Soldiers painted within dreams.
Where do I go now?
... when you
are so
long... gone into history.
Why am I standing here with silver hair
and white beard
and memories?
Why? My silent Brothers!
I echo the thunder of war.
... and remembrance.
Tears from the heart of me!
I live for each day...
and for you!
A salute
from...
