The Definition of A Soldier | |
| The Army has brought me honor The uniform has given me pride For I now protect the freedom For which many men have died
I stand up next to these select few men Who do the same as me And I respect each one of them For all their bravery
I know I can turn to a comrade And say at any time I'll put my life in your hands And you can put your's in mine
But I know not everyone Can do the same as me It takes a special kind of man To defend our liberty
And I know that one day I'll be laid in hallowed ground But this Soldier won't go quietly I will make my Country proud | By Joshua Blanton Copyright 1995 Listed 7/27/2006 |
