Authors Note... I
wrote my poem, "Our Sons In Iraq" in 2003 when my youngest son was serving in Iraq as part of the invasion force. He served with the 5th Regiment of the First Marines Division, which Ret. Lt. Col. Oliver North (Fox News) was embedded with
. . . The poem is in honor of all the troops who are serving and have served in Iraq including veterans like my son. The same sincere thoughts extend to all the troops and veterans of the Afghanistan War.
