Soldier Alone |
|
|
Time
and mud
and young men afraid.
No letters from home!
What does it mean
to be
together?
A walk into death....
a bag,
and the slant of sunlight
upon a face.
Helicopters
carrying pain
and the pounding drums
of war
and tears
... and a DEROS
leading toward
the mystery of home.
Age
and pain
again. |
