The Soldiercountry as flag
A pawn am I for playing,
A command and I give my life,
My body that lies decaying,
Souvenir for my mourning wife.

The taps they play so soothing,
And a final gun salute,
In exchange for the life they were losing,
In the name of the red, white and blue.
