What my marriage means to me, is not what you might
think it should be, We have never had the luxury of
freedom or simplicity.
For you see, I am married
to Man, God and Country. My marriage means long
separations and homecoming celebrations.
Tainted
by fears, Stained by endless tears, Separated by
miles, All to be replaced by smiles.
As your loved
one returns, gone is the need to yearn, gone is the
aching burn, and the endless nights of concern,
happiness take its place in turn.
Once again all is
right in my heart, No longer do we have to be apart,
Gladness fills the lonely heart, Your eyes meet and
happiness floods your soul, as if a dart was shot
straight to your heart. |
