When the Sun disappears.
we pray to the light
lifting bright feathers as prayer
that light shall return again
as sunrise.
spirit in flight!
Pray
that our warrior Brothers
shall return within the light of tomorrow
... none forgotten
... none
gone forever!
We pray that the wheel
of light.
the bright new day.
will bring them home!
None as prisoners.
none missing in action.
Just brave souls returning
... accounted for and loved
by their beloved... once more!
We shall sleep in hard places
upon a pillow of weariness.
Place their shackles and pain
upon ourselves
... until destiny surrenders
... and sets them
