My Pleasure | |
|
Standing at home and away from the noise,
I still hear the screaming and not by choice.
We were there for a reason and for that reason we stayed,
To protect what was ours from then on, always.
We had children at home far away form the war.
We had husbands and mothers waiting at doors.
Trying to figure out why we had left.
With tears rolling down and a hand on their chest.
I want them to know that we fight for whats good,
that we would give it all up if we thought that we should.
Cause it's my pleasure to serve,
my pleasure to bleed,
my pleasure to keep all American's free! | By Jessica Norris Copyright 2007 Listed
