Every day, I think of our soldiers...
the ones who died and have gone away,
resting in peace, or so "they" say,
after doing their best obeying orders;
but can we really know the fate of them
who chose to step up to the plate
giving their all for people in a dire state,
a world away from their home and kin,
who ever remember, no matter the day...
Veterans, Memorial or declared as not;
for some can't forget our valiant lot,
the thousands and millions gone away,
resting in peace, or so "they" say;
but dead to us they will darkly remain,
until we die, too, and see them again.
