Many are the brave souls
Who've fought in battles here,
Defending freedom and liberty,
And those they loved so dear,
And many are the ones who've died
To keep America free,
Free from chains of bondage,
And free from tyranny.
And oh, the pain and suffering
Their loved ones had to bear,
Because they gave their lives, their all,
True freedom thus to share.
The wars have been many,
The losses many, too,
Defending our sweet liberty,
And our Red, White and Blue.
And we must not forget them,
Nor what they fought for here,
Because they loved America,
Which to our hearts is dear.
God bless the men and women,
True patriots, every one,
Who've served our country faithfully,
And victories they've won.
And God bless all who serve today,
To keep America free,
So we, and they, and all our kin
May know true liberty.
And may we keep in memory
The sacrifices made,
By all who've fought for liberty,
And the ultimate price they paid.
May God bless America,
From sea to shining sea,
And may He also bless the troops
