The Flute of Remembrance |
|
|
Time
runs away
like a thief
in the darkness.
Cities are born
and lost,
and it is always cold within war.
Lonely soldiers are hiding,
trembling,
and afraid
At the corner of yesterday
and tomorrow,
listening .... praying
... as a Spirit Warrior
plays his flute of dreams.
All... the battles and songs
of history.
... then is now,
and all prayer is silence
as he disappears.
The flute remains forever.
breath of a man
... remembrance of courage,
and freedom
resting within us
like an old soldier
... sleeping in the green fields
as soft as the pillows
that always lay softly
upon the limits
of time.
The flute plays
a child listens.
A soldier dies!
The song
... remains. |
