We Got the Call for Christmas Day |
|
|
We got the call for Christmas Day Our final chance
civilian to play Soldiers we know, to war we go To
save the desert sand from men. I thought how, as the day
had come To serve in protecting freedom We'd be gone,
who knows how long Help keep producing oil to send And
in despair I bowed my head "There is no peace on earth,"
I said, "For hate is strong and mocks the song Of
peace on earth, good will to men." Pierced the alarm more
loud and deep: "Our little children left to weep The
wrong shall fail, the right prevail; Some peace on earth,
good will to men." Till another man shall say, The
world revolved to night from day, A slap, a pull, a round
in line Defend the earth, from evil men. |
