Born Of Steel And Iron |
|
|
Born of steel and iron Bred to sigh and fight on,
The cats growl loud My swords unsheathed
Steady,
ready as I ever been. For what the night holds for me,
Protection now the beast's unleashed, The anchor weighs
the globe,
The eagle holds the anchor high
Beholding still for all to see So now that none will
flee. The flag that flies high Bearing 50 scars and
bloody stripes, cleansed to white. With the blood of
patriots, fighting tyrants.
A single man's will...
Good men doing something, The war between light and dark
Continues on as long as our capacity for war itself exists.
So still they're needed, To defend our home.
As
we advance our civilization To the line of the brink
Of disaster and the precipice of change, I can't help but
wonder How many more men won't see it happen, Yet gave
their lives in hope it would.
This is not the best we
can do. Why will it do for now? Why must good men die
in a greedy man's war? Because good men must, in order for
us,
To continue on with our daily lives, We sleep,
because somewhere, A Marine, solider, airmen, or sailor,
Stands guard, like a Shepard over their flock, Ever
watchful, throughout the night and beyond the day.
Good men will always be needed, To keep us free. |
