| An American Hero Died Today |

An American soldier died today,
Let us open up our hearts and pray
For all who miss him, as we know loved ones do,
As Friends come on by and try to comfort you.
We know Heaven has a new soul today
For we know an American hero went that way.
He was loved by family and all who knew him.
We grieve that his place, was taken from them.
We grieve with you loved ones; he was ours too
A service man of our Country, did all he could do.
In his glorious act for America's freedom
He went to serve and he knew to home he might not come.
He knew there were chances he was taking,
However, he knew the USA he had not forsaken.
His loved ones must look back and see this boy,
When he was a child and so filled with sweet joy.
His Comrades shall miss him in every feasible way.
They will know he put down his life for them today.
An honor to this country of America; this man fell
Thus, hereafter we will know, he served our USA well. |
