A US Soldier Boy |

A Soldier Boy Was Buried Today
Some bent to their knee, softly to pray.
Many wept and slung tears away
So many came here to pray today
What can one do, what can we say-?
As one of our men, were buried today.
Oh, the grief and sorrow felt from all,
Helps bring back memories to recall.
God be with mom and dad, sister or brother.
Be with friends and cousins, grandfathers and grandmothers.
The roads of Texas was paved with friends
On the journey; going to the end.
Holding the USA flag, waving him goodbye
Pressing on the roadside as the hearse passed by
American Flags, all afloat in the air,
So many hands on people's chests; saying a prayer.
Many friends that cared and showed love
As the roadside was crowded on hills below and above
With the people mourning this man's death
Some people holding a bouquet of baby's breath.
God bless American again today.
Help our women and men come home to stay
Bring them away from the evil they daily see
If it is Thine own will, Lord; let it be. |
