| Here it is night and I think of you over there,
There it is day as you think of home here,
You are helping those who are maybe too afraid to speak,
In countries where people are told to be meek,
You help them by trying to keep them safe,
From injustice people,
Dictators and more,
In a foreign land you barely even know,
I know that I am proud to be American,
I know your proud to wear that uniform,
I pray everyday I swear,
That an end to this war will come fast,
That God and his angels watch over you all,
