Freedom Isn't Free | |
|
All down through the ages,
Since mortal time began,
Men have fought for freedom,
Fought wars, man to man.
And those who would enslave us,
Have used their agency,
To try to convince the masses,
That we should not be free.
And yet the soul of man cries out,
And yearns for freedom, too,
To live their lives and do the things
They really WANT to do.
And here in America,
The banner of freedom stands,
A symbol of America,
The land of helping hands,
And hearts that yearn for freedom
And liberty for all,
And willingness to share it,
Who answer freedom's call.
And yet, the world hungers
For freedom and liberty,
So they may live the good life,
And be all they can be.
And we who know true liberty,
Have fought the battles here,
And also in foreign lands,
To share what we hold dear,
Defending and protecting
Our loved ones in the fray,
While pledging our allegiance to
The good old USA.
God bless us as a people,
And as a nation, too,
And all who defend our nation's cause,
And our Red, White and Blue.
And may we never ever forget
The cost of liberty,
And those who paid the ultimate price,
No, freedom isn't free.
