American Patriotism | |
|
I am an American Patriot, tis true, I will not lie I will
remain faithful to the American ideal until the day that I die.
I have volunteered in my life to act against all foes in her
defense I have walked the path between America and the
foreign iron fence.
American patriotism is about showing
our love and pride For the country which our forefathers
fought for and died. They stood against the tyranny the
king's army wished to enforce The implements of subjugation
used with great force.
The chains of slavery were being
prepared for the American People Who only wanted to live free
in a land that was peaceful. The king refused to stop the
unwarranted abuse of Parliament And so our forefathers stood
together and took up their armament.
Patriotism can and
is defined in many different ways It was felt before by those
who wore the Blues and the Greys. Each person must choose to
stand up for what is right or not That choice must be made | By Chuck Weiskircher Copyright 2011
